Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how myShuko processes information when you use the myShuko marketplace at myshuko.com, including when you create an account, sign in with Google, publish a listing, send a message, or submit an inquiry.

2. Information we process

• Account information: your Firebase user ID, email address, email verification status, display name, and, if provided, phone number.
• Google sign-in information: when you choose Google sign-in, Google provides Firebase Authentication with the account information needed to authenticate you. myShuko uses that information to identify your account and provide access to the service.
• Profile preferences: interface language, theme, saved listing IDs, contacts, account roles, and account creation and update timestamps.
• Marketplace content: listings, descriptions, images, prices, condition, category, location details, coordinates, and listing contact phone numbers that sellers choose to publish.
• Communications and inquiries: sender and recipient identifiers and email addresses, message text, listing references, read or draft status, inquiry items, name, email address, phone number, and submission time.
• Browser storage: the site stores cookie-consent, theme, cart, and authentication persistence information in cookies or browser storage as required by the selected features.

3. How information is used

myShuko processes this information to:

• authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
• provide profiles, listings, wishlists, contacts, messages, and notifications;
• process marketplace inquiries and notify relevant sellers;
• send account verification, password reset, and service-related emails;
• administer the marketplace and enforce access roles; and
• maintain the security and operation of the service.

4. Service providers and sharing

Information is disclosed only as needed to operate the features you use:

• Google Firebase provides authentication and Google sign-in.
• Resend processes email addresses and email content for transactional email delivery.
• Google Maps and OpenStreetMap services receive map requests when a map or location lookup is loaded.
• Sellers receive the contact and inquiry information needed to respond to an inquiry. Other users may see information that a seller intentionally publishes in a listing.

myShuko does not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or calendar data.

5. Retention and deletion

Account profiles, listings, messages, notifications, and inquiries remain in the service until they are deleted through an available product control or removed by an administrator. Browser-stored preferences remain until you clear them or replace them through the corresponding setting.

6. Security

Authentication tokens are sent to protected service endpoints to verify identity and permissions. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your choices

You can change available profile preferences, remove listings and messages where the interface provides a deletion control, sign out, revoke myShuko access from your Google Account, and clear locally stored site data in your browser. Some records may require an administrator to remove them because the current interface does not provide account-wide deletion.

8. Changes to this policy

This page may be updated when the service or its data practices change. The date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
